An urban wedding in Melbourne CBD

Intimate weddings are some of my favourite wedding formats to photograph! Anna and Duc met in Melbourne while studying and decided now was the best time to make a commitment to each other and take the step to get married. Their wedding day was simple in an urban setting and I loved every detail. Although they got ready in the same apartment they wanted to have a first look with Melbourne CBD as the backdrop. As you will see in some of the images, Anna had to help Duc with his flower, so we tried to work ways so that Duc wouldn’t be looking at her and the first look wouldn’t be spoiled!

Everyone got very emotional at the rooftop, and the tears were rolling.

After the first look we headed on the tram to the wedding venue: East elevation. East elevation is based in Brunswick and it’s a coffee bean roaster and chocolate factory. During the weekend it’s a very busy caffe and for us it was a great wedding venue.

Anna and Duc’s ceremony was going to take place right after sunset, so to make the most of the daylight, we headed for their creative shoot around the Brunswick streets just before their ceremony. Here is their wedding day.
